So does the AHK from Raxus seem to be legit? anyone have any prior experience with this company? And how far does this stuff go? If I were to apply AHK at the 2.5 strength solution to the frontal third of my scalp, how long would a gram last approximately?
so what's the general consensus here then? If minoxidil is out of the question, what is the next best treatment (or combination of treatments) for regrowth? I have a lot of velus hair, I'm on propecia, and allergic to minoxidil. what would you guys do?
I found that when I initially applied minoxidil, my scalp would be fine for a few hours, and then the irritation would occur. I don't recall the minoxidil actually calming the redness as such, but it didn't irritate until a few hours post application.
We could do with finding out once and for all if it actually is the minoxidil we're allergic to and not something else commonly found in minoxidil solutions....anyone have any advice on how we do this? I'm almost two years off minoxidil now and pretty desperate for a growth stimulant.
I had this exact issue. I switched to foam and also tried other zero pg formulas with no success. I eventually decided to quit minoxidil as I came to the conclusion that I was allergic.. Like yourself I had also been using minoxidil for a year without any issues before this happened. if you have any...
I'd be tempted to try this in my long running quest to find a minoxidil solution that my scalp can tolerate....though if I'm allergic to minoxidil, I'll be allergic no matter what solution I try (which appears to be the case) Also concerned about finasteride content as I am also on finasteride...
Well this sucks...Ignore my previous post (quoted above). The morning after I posted this, I woke up to the familiar minoxidil like irritation. Red itchy rash all along my hairline where I applied the DNC-N. Not as bad as with many minoxidil solutions I've tried, but still there. Not sure what...
so I have received my DNC-N, and have applied it three times. No allergic reactions thus far! This is very exciting, as while I had lots of thickening with minoxidil, after a year of continuous and problem free use, I could not apply the stuff even once without a flare up of extremely sore and...
Mine is also in the post! I really hope I can use this with success. After a year on minoxidil, I became incredible allergic. Horrible contact dermatitis. Obviously a little wary, because I would hate for that to happen all over again. I have to take the gamble here though, my hair is currently...
Hi everyone,
I have now been on propecia for three years...possibly close to four now thinking about it. I have remained pretty stable until now. I also used minoxodil about two years ago, and my hair really started to look great 6 months in, most people would never think I had a hair loss...
So are either Latanprost or Bimatoprost truly viable options from a cost perspective? For the last year, I have been forced to forgo my daily minoxidil application due to a sudden allergic reaction to minoxodil. I really need a new growth stimulant as my hair is nowhere near as good as it was 6 or 7...
I might be up for this. Are you thinking of purchasing RU or giving RUM a shot? I have longish hair (4/5 inches long) and cutting it short is currently a no no for me, so I was thinking I may have better luck with RUM as far as absorption goes. It may be that this drug isn't for me in either...
