my biggest regret with minoxidil was growing insane amounts of hair when I first took it 10 years ago then stopping thinking I could just take a break, lose some hair, then get back on it again. do not make this mistake.

I have applied topical finasteride, was quite a high dose though, doctor naively said that didn't matter since it was topical, I got all the horrendous sides noted with the oral version and stopped after 2 months. never again

I have started using the Derminator daily at 0.5mm in addition to the once weekly 1.5mm session. How soon after the daily 0.5mm would you say I should apply the regaine? I do not apply at all on the 1.5mm days.

Scalp looks almost unchanged to be honest. The Regaine does sting a bit 8 hours later but only for a few seconds. I have tried 1.5mm with Derminator 1 before and then dabbed a paper napkin showing a handful of red blood spots but nothing like the redness or bleeding some have reported. I guess...

I have struggled with the once per week microneedling - sounds pathetic I know but doing anything once per week doesn't work for me in the sense that it disappears from my radar for 7 days and I forget or get lazy. Paradoxically I do better when i can tell myself I am doing something to help...

Thanks. I have been less than regular with various regimes for approx 1 year with no real improvement. I will try to stick to 1.5mm weekly for 3 months before tweaking.

I have always used 'fast' (other options are slow and medium) I do crown, mid scalp and front - which I guess is the whole scalp.

After 1 year of disappointing results from micro needling for 5 minutes at 1.5mm with D1 I just had my first session for 22 minutes at 0.75. It's obviously too early to assess but my existing fine hairs look darker on this new protocol giving the appearance of higher density. I am pleased with that
