    Scalp cleaning question

I occasionally use vinegar. And I'm with Cassin on J.A.S.O.N. Thin-to-Thick. They make absolute rockin hair care products.

    İncreased sebum with oral biotin?

Yes, biotin increases the enzyme acetyl-scoa-carboxylase which makes you produce more sebum. I already have oily skin, so when I used to take hair-specific vitamins (loaded with msm and biotin) my oil glands would work overtime. To the point at which I no longer take them.

    Egg yolks in shampoo

You're gonna need to keep it in the fridge if you do that. Lush makes a hair care product that has eggs in it I think.

Does Nizoral shampoo alone really stop hair thinning/loss?

It probably won't have any effect as a stand-alone treatment (maybe help you maintain a bit longer-??) but is supposed to work great in conjuntion with minoxidil & finasteride.

    MSM and sweating

You're not the first to claim initial reaction...some people said their skin breaks out in acne real bad the first week of using msm.

    MSM and sweating

I never really experienced anything from msm, if anything I felt good, placebo or not. And I took large doses.

    Papain for hairloss

I think a lot of people experience placebo effect imo. The oils could have caused shine, softness, fullness, etc which he mistook as "regrowth". However.... Papaya is used a lot in herbal medicine (one being a natural laxative). It is also used a lot in beauty mask concoctions, due to the...

The MEP-90 FDA APPROVED laser comb

Keep in mind they used the legal loophole "FDA Cleared", as opposed to "approved". Same thing they did with Hairmax Laser Comb, it is "cleared" as safe to use as a medical device, but not "approved" as an actual WORKING treatment. It can get very technical like that and that is how the...

    Warning about penetration enhancing:

This might be why I seem to be getting a good response to my mixture of minoxidil & goat's milk mousse. The treated area stays moist all day until I wash it off & reapply. I am also able to more thoroughly massage it in without the minoxidil evaporating within seconds.

    8-Hydroxyquinoline sulfate

I have since sprouted a nearly full-sized terminal hair in the bare patch that was my temple! LOL just one lonely, thick, dark brown hair in a patch of translucent peach fuzz. But it is there! It doesn't seem to want to grow beyond 1/4" in length though. I think I might up the concentration...

    8-Hydroxyquinoline sulfate

You are definitely right, mixed with the cream makes the 5% minoxidil more like 2-3%. But I'm just using the concoction to be able to more thoroughly massage it into my scalp, the pure liquid evaporates quickly and I am experimenting with the effects of really working it in. It seems to be working...

    8-Hydroxyquinoline sulfate

Holy crap I think my concoction is working.... Let's see, according to my last post it has been 2 months. I have remained faithful to my mixture (goat's milk mousse with some liquid minoxidil mixed in). Every day I thoroughly massage the cream on my hairline, primarily the bare skin where my...

    Sodium Laurel Sulfate in shampoos

SLS is the foaming agent put in most shampoos on the market. Unfortunately, when you buy one free of SLS, you will have a hard time lathering and will take 2-3 applications to get a good foam going. The only two shampoos I can think off the top of my head are Bert's Bees shampoo and most hair...

    Anyone tried profollica

Holy CRAP it's expensive!!! Research the "all natural" ingredients thoroughly and you will probably find you can substitute it quite cheaply.

"Scalp reduction" done on Little Girl via Inflated "Balloon"

Yup, I've seen it before. There have been horror stories about this procedure, where the scalp looks deformed afterwards, and peoples' hair begins several inches above the ears and looks horrible. I haven't heard any good things about the procedure as an alternative to a hair transplant, but I can see in...
