yeah, completely stupid, why remake it when it will never be as good as the original. can't americans watch anything that doesnt have americans in it?
its funny, my old pa used to say his receeding stopped when he started washing his hair with bar soap. i guess it wouldnt hurt to ditch shampoo for a while.
these pics were taken about 3 months apart over the course of a year. the first two were during a finasteride/minoxidil regime, the next two were on spironolactone lotion only.

over the last 18ths i've gone from finasteride to minoxidil to spironolactone, never experienced any significant "shed" from any transition. finasteride scares me and i hated minoxidil but spironolactone lotion is awesome.
i ditched proscar and minoxidil and am now soley using Sprio lotion. it's great, it doesnt stink like the liquid and i've noticed a big increase in velus hairs. if they turn into anything great, if not, hopefully it slows down the receding.
i have peace of mind that i havnt resigned myself to...
i tried the liquid and lotion versions of spironolactone. i'm not sure if the lotion absorbs into the scalp as good as the liquid, but it doesnt stink and it isnt greasy, so i'm way happier with the lotion.
the only other concern is that it doesnt last as long, i went thru the lotion twice as fast...
i just quit minoxidil last week. like you i noticed the density dropping but the individual hairs thickening up, almost eyebrow girth. i was on it for about 5 months. i've taken it twice since then to ween myself of it, once next week and that is it.
the ones that are supposed to inhibit DHT?
i like spironolactone in theory, but i just can't bring myself to renew the subscription, i hate the stuff.
from what i've read, all the other topicals are alcohol based too. is alcohol the only way to get the stuff into your scalp? i hate the smell...
