I've had no side effects at all from it. I can agree with some of the posters above that it's hard on the hair... from what I had heard there are ingredients in it that are emulsifiers.. i.e., things that break up fat.. that are in the shampoo to break up the sebum layer on your scalp, and...
"The gardener,
What do u think of selsun blue shampoo for scalp issues?
Also, do u have pics of ur hair as promised?"
Selsun Blue uses Selenium Sulfide as an anti-fungal. Good, this as I mentioned above "mixes the anti-fungals up".
I'll take pictures when I can. I've been really busy...
Good questions, ATG. Here are my answers....
"1. Why don't u use foam minoxidil? It has helped address inflammation and allergic reactions to ppg for many. It also adds a bit of volume to the hair once it's applied."
Hehe, good question. I have no good answer to this other than when I started...
Starting a minoxidil/Finasteride regimen?
Expect improvement!
Well documented scientific study has shown that the majority of people who start these treatments see cosmetically significant improvements to your hairline, hair quality, and hair thickness OVER AND ABOVE the baseline you had going...
Hey, ATG... sorry, have been so busy with moving and furniture and making sh*t fit in my new place. Here are my answers to your questions...
"Back then I think u were using topical spironolactone and Xandrox correct? Did u drop those in favor of rogaine and nizoral once dr lee was shut down...
Update... Month 7 of Rogaine, month 3 of Finasteride.
The first little nugget of experience I need to impart is... the Rogaine Shed... it's for real.
A decade ago during my first battle with male pattern baldness (I had a Rogaine, actually a Xandrox15, and nizoral regimen) I responded pretty well over time, but...
I can't say for sure if your hairline is receding or not as I don't really have a good idea of what your baseline is.
What I CAN tell you is that you're not going through an "MBP event". I don't see any signs of rapid hairloss... i.e., lower quality hair strands right at your hairline...
Correction to the above.... I was just in the bathroom and checked out my bottle of Nizoral. Nizoral is 1% Keto.
And... question? Do you have any itching or irritation in the temple area where you have noticed some thinning?
For me, when I use Nizoral, every now and again I apply it, then...
Yeah, you're hairline is not in need of any major chemical introductions as of yet. Just pick up some Nizoral 2% Keto shampoo, and use it 3x/week.
Remember that some treatments, like Rogaine, are a one shot deal. You use them once, its kind of like hitting the "turbo" button, and you see...
Well, that should be a pretty f*****g reassuring situation for you.
Most guys as they get older lose a little hair in the corners of the temple. Frankly, you have a beautiful head of hair right how... but I completely understand you concern about the future trends.
I don't think you should...
Hey man, abovedogame...
Sorry, been slow to post as I've been prepping to move, doing a search of new flats, and will be moving to a new neighborhood in LA next week.
I'll write an updated status and my thoughts of the treatments in the next week as soon as I get settled.
Nope.
The ONLY side effect I've gotten from minoxidil is that the little patch of hair just above the knuckle on my finger that I use to rub the minoxidil into my hairline has slightly thicker hairs than the patch on the opposite hand. :)
