I'm looking to get a hair translate this year in the NYC area. Any recommendations? Money isn't an issue, so just looking for the best quality and safety one can get.
How on earth can you have androgenic alopecia if your identical twin doesn't? And based on your pictures, I don't see anything that looks like androgenic alopecia.
Hairloss treatments are worth a lot of money. If a person has one that actually works, he'll run the necessary trials to prove it. That way he can sell it and get rich. It's just economics. If any of these natural methods worked, there's be published studies verifying it.
I've never heard of this journal, so I have no reason to believe in what it publishes. With that said, note the conclusion:
"Conclusion: Oral finasteride in dose of 1mg/day is effective therapy for treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia and was associated with androgen serum level changes. Due to the effect of...
Update:
As far as I can tell, I'm not experiencing any side effects at this point. Sex three times a day is back, and I'm not experiencing headaches or anything else that I would ascribe to the finasteride. It's possible my sex drive is slightly lower than before finasteride, but I had a very...
Tonight I'm trying the nighttime pill for the first time. We'll see if sleeping through the side effects works (assuming I'm actually experiencing them at all). I will note that yesterday evening I felt lucid, which means my body took ~12-14 hours to get back to feeling "normal" instead of the...
Hi all,
I started finasteride 1 mg 24 days ago (I've been using minoxidil 5% and a 1% keto shampoo for about 5.5 years, which has more or less allowed me to maintain, though my hairline started getting worse in the past two years). At first I didn't notice much of anything, but recently I've felt...
I can basically guarantee you that jerking off doesn't make your hair fall out. More than likely, you jerk off when you're stressed. And it just so happens that when you're stressed, little things that don't normally bother you too much can seem like catastrophes.
My understanding is that finasteride can make prostate cancer harder to detect, but if you're checked regularly and let your doctor know that you're taking finasteride, you should be fine.
As for cutting edge research, what about the Dkk1 discovery? If I recall, researchers were able to get human male...
I'm actually surprised it took this long for someone to examine this sort of interaction. Minoxidil is one of the only known drugs to effectively treat an androgen-potentiated condition. It seems likely that it would work through androgen interference.
Are you getting these products from good sources? What's the concentration of the minoxidil and ketoconazole you're using? And are you taking regular pictures to document your hair loss and drug response? I ask because you've given me very little data to go on.
I suppose some men just don't...
Given the wild range of answers you got, you should consult a dermatologist specializing in hair loss. I don't think any member of this forum is any kind of medical expert.
