    How are hair pieces attached?

And how often do they need replaced? I don't mind spending a couple hundred dollars on a decent hair piece, but don't want to have to keep doing that every two months. I just couldn't justify it financially. If they are good for five or six months, though, that would be acceptable.

    How are hair pieces attached?

Thank you for that. White glue and tape? How irritated does the scalp get from leaving the hair piece on for a few days?

    Thanks for the input...

    How are hair pieces attached?

I'm thinking about getting one, but don't want to get embarassed by it flying off in high wind or any other situation. So how do you attach a hairpiece and how reliable are they to stay in place? Also, how often do you need to replace them? I'm not spending three or four hundred dollars every...

    Rant about concealers!!

In my experiences, hair so real works just as well as Toppik and is a much less expensive. Honestly, I don't know how the makers of Toppik and nanogen stay in business when there is a product just as good as theirs but half the price.

    Rant about concealers!!

Dude, the only perfect concealer is REAL hair. And I'm not talking about a wig made of human hair. There is not one concealer out there that is going to be completely satisfying. First of all, the very fact that you have to go through a daily process of putting it on and taking it off is going...

    The devil in concealers...

We're all insecure about our appearance, though. Very few people feel totally comfortable in their own skin. Since there is such a stigma about baldness, I don't think a mans masculinity should be challenged if he decides to do something about it.

    The devil in concealers...

Everything that the thread starter said might be true, but so what? Women do all kinds of things to improve their appearance, from makeup and high heels to wonder bras. So if a guy has a bald spot or thinning hair and adds a little something to cover it up, why is that wrong? Eventually a guy is...

    My hair grew like weeds

As a man of 41, I often look back on my youth. It's a weird experience because the memories are both fond and painful. They remind you of the good times you once had, but also of the fact that you're getting older.

Anyone else become 100% dependent on...

I farm and co-own a gym. So when I go to work, I can either wear the concealer or not. There are few times when I absolutely feel the need to put it on. If we're going out to dinner or a party, then I'll wear it for sure. The fact is that I use the concealer mainly for myself. Sometimes it just...

Anyone else become 100% dependent on...

My deal is that I have very thick hair on the sides. There is just a strip through the middle that is very thin. But no part of my scalp is completely void of hair. I use hair-so-real and it works just fine. The plus is that it's only half as expensive as Toppik. For awhile I used the Prothik...

So I think I've ruined my marriage because of balding

The fact is that no matter how well you think you know someone, they can still surprise you. Marriage always requires a leap of faith and is a big risk. You're basically giving your heart to another person and hoping they don't tear it in half. If your wife isn't acting any different towards you...

    Anger.

My hairloss didn't really start until my late twenties and was slow progressing. It wasn't really that noticable until I hit thirty four. By that time I was older and had enough life experience to keep things in perspective. Plus, I was already married and didn't have to worry about my hairloss...

    Fear, Sex, and Hairlines

Maybe you just didn't have a lot of testosterone in your system to begin with. If a guy my age can take this drug as long as I have without experiencing any side effects, it makes me believe that guys like you are in a minority. Is it possible that some will not be able to tolerate propecia...

    Fear, Sex, and Hairlines

I haven't lost my libido at all and I've made that clear in other posts. Perhaps you're just paranoid and imagined the side effects. Or maybe you don't have much testosterone in your system and are blaming your impotence on the propecia instead of facing reality. There's always v**** for those...
