Need advice: have concerns about gyno

If I have a lump or mass below and beind my areaola, does that mean I may have gyno or worse? Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've been reading about male breast cancer and gyno, how it is estrogen-dependent. I know that some of our hair-loss meds like Propecia and Dutasteride can reduce...

Tommo, I'm taking one pil a day. Two or three times a week I also pop a 2.5mg half of Proscar. I do this just to "ween" myself off of Proscar, though I don't know how sound my thinking truly is on doing so. The fact of the matter is, except for the case of Propecia and Dutasteride, I would...

It's reversible, but just some swollen "tits" doesn't mean you have gyno. But if you do, yes it is reversible. I've heard that either taking certain supplements may help with gyno, and of course stopping taking Duta should do the same. I've been on Duta for two days, haven't noticed any...

How come no one is talking about AvoDart? I'm picking up my first 30 pills tomorrow. Sadly, my insurance does not have the drug listed on their "covered" list, so all of the pharmacies I took my script too all said it wouldn't be covered (though I think if I really made them look into it and...

I think the guy who mentioned having "brain effects" is kind of out there. I would imagine that the traces of DHT type-II (or was it type-I?) are fairly minimal. I mean, I realize that drugs do have side effects and can cause unwanted and even undocumented reprocussions...but it's being...

Thanks for the response, gourmetstylewellness.com. It bothers me that AvoDart is going to be so expensive. Those tallies we've seen on RiteAid and Drugstore.com have *got* to be without proper insurance coverage, right? I currently pay $20 for 30 Proscar pills, but I remember a time when I was used to paing $50...

Great article, gourmetstylewellness.com...but, there was little mention of whether or not the Phase III trials were cancelled? From what I gather, the European Phase III trials have been cannced but the US trials are still on? Also, in response to the article, you wrote that the difference in serum DHT...

$75.00+ for 30 capsules? Are they insane? This price has got to be without any insurance coverage, right? Maybe this is why the Duta hairloss trials were cancelled...no one will want to pay that much money for a month's supply and the insurance companies will file it under the "cosmetic"...

Great post, gourmetstylewellness.com. I wholeheartedly agree. I hope whatever issues Glaxo has with Duta to be side-effect related, esp. in terms of profitibability, or lack thereof, due to issues related to side effects. I am sure that a lot of us here at gourmetstylewellness.com will take Duta if it has an apparent performance...

It bothers all of us, guys. Chances are they cancelled the phase III trials for a combination of reasons. Or, maybe they didn't cancel them at all. Lots of rumors get floated about the Internet every day, and many of them are not true. One thing about the safety issues of Duta that us...

Also, gourmetstylewellness.com, could you do us a big favor and post any information you get from your sources at Glaxo? I'm really hoping HairLossHelp.com is wrong about the US trials being cancelled. Thanks.

gourmetstylewellness.com, Yeah, I later noticed (after my post) that the age group for the Duta BPH trial was between 47 and 96. You're right, that's another league compared to 20-something's like myself. Do you really think Glaxo is hiding safety data from phases 1 and 2 of the hairloss trials? I'm agreeing...

Okay, I can't access the link for some reason...the page is not found, I'm guessing HairLossHelp.com is down for the time being. However, we've already seen results of Duta's safety issues. There's no reason to assume the side effects would be any worse for hair loss sufferers in such...

Should we really trust some Internet prescription drug provider for something of this nature? I wouldn't. This has a sketch factor of 10 written all over it.

That is really to be determined. Propecia has not shown to help much in the battle against frontal hair loss. Futhermore, the temple area is usually the hardest area for any treatment to work effectively on. It is doubtful that Dutasteride will have any huge positive impact on anyone's temple...
