1000 Grafts - Scratched Everywhere, A Bit Aggressive

Hello everyone,

It's day 18 following my 1000 graft FUE, and I may have messed it up badly. Up until this morning I had no scabs, but there was this sort of paste over my recipient area. It was a mixture of shampoo residue, argan oil, and some left over crust.

My head was getting smelly from this paste so I started scratching it off gently with my fingernails by putting my finger in the middle of my head and sliding down over the recipient area. It got rid of the paste and some loose hairs, but no grafts or hairs with bulbs came out. Only after I was done did I realise that this was probably the worse thing I could have done.

How badly did I mess up and can I expect damage? I compared before and after pics and everything seems to still be there. Except I irritated a small area and now it's red.

Only you and your doctor can really give a good idea on any damage that may or may not have been done at this point. I know when I had my own procedure, at day 14, all my scabs had already fallen off and it was healed completely. It just mildly itchy at best that was not too difficult to ignore. I doubt you have any real issues at day 18. We don't give our bodies enough credit at healing and having our pores closing and sealing off wounds. You grafts are probably well intact at this point.

I dout you have done any damage as its day 18 post OP, and you didn't experience any blood? I think its fine
