20 Years Old And Severe Baldness, Help.

Hello, I've been noticing hairloss since 16 and has always concerning me. I started taking minoxidil and biotin supplements January 2019 and here is how my hair looked before the treatment:

After of 4 months with minoxidil with great results it looked like this, it was a great step since my crown has been always my main problem:

I was really happy my hairloss stopped completely I was amazed with the results, after 6 months (June) I started heavy shedding and it did not stop yet and I don't think it won't stop I feel minoxidil just stopped working, even thought since that time until now I had a sedentary life and I did not exercice.

My phone broke recently and I shaved all my head so I don't have pictures of how it looks now with longer hair but you can appreciate how its thinning back again and it's pretty similar as last year or even worse:

I talked to the doctor 2 days ago and i have a blood test in 2 weeks, after it I will start with finasteride, I am 20 years old and pretty sad about my hair since everyone at my age has a strong thick hair, will finasteride make the results I had when I started minoxidil? Why minoxidil stopped completely working for me when it gave me such results 6 months ago?

that is severe hair loss for a 20 year old.

You have to take Finasteride if youre using minoxidil.

Start dermarolling with minoxidil and maybe you will get regrowth

I had an amazing improvement only with minoxidil, I ask myself why it suddenly stopped working. Minoxidil makes my scalp itchy and irritated, when I had a regrowth it did not give me this side effects but when I started shedding my scalp is irritated, I dont have much money will a 9 euro dermaroll from amazon be effective? What should i get 0.5 or 1mm? I think minoxidil works but the itched irritated scalp makes my hair fall.

You should've taken min n finasteride at the same time the first time around, you probably would've made a huge recovery. But do it now and hopefully it still looks pretty good in six months.

Also, it's common and statistically common for min to have great results in the first 8 months, then tail off. Probably because it rejuvenates the keratinocytes, gets most of the hair in an anagen phase, and has one good run of growth. Then when those hairs fall out, so does the results.

Just take them both at the same time. Stop asking questions and waiting.
