.25mg propecia worth it?

i have been using .25mg propecia for two and a half months now and I still get that tingling itchy feeling on my head which i think means that the dht is attaching to the hair follicles. Does this mean that the .25mg propecia is not effective enough, or do I need to wait longer to see results?

Why just .25mg? Did you get sides with higher doses? I am wondering whether I should start with .25 mg as well...
Also, have you had any major sheds with the drug yet?

I use .25 because i'm only 19 and figure I could still grow more, it's too early to eliminate dht from my body. plus, i have read that you can still get good results from .25 or .5 without the sides, so thought i would try this first.
I haven't had any major sheds, but i usually lose at least 10 hairs every shower. I have been on it for three months now and the tingling itchy feeling on the scalp has started again in the past 2 or three weeks. It hadn't happened since before i was on propecia. The hair loss seems to have increased too. I thought the shed was supposed to be right when you started propecia. At the 3 month mark it seems like i'm losing more hair than before.

oh ok...
I think sheds normally happen around 3 months, from what i've been reading

It says on propecia.com that at the 3 month mark you are supposed to see a decrease in hairloss. Maybe it is delayed because of the lower dosage? If I was to increase to .5 would It be like starting over and have a bigger shed, or since i'm already taking .25 would i just have a small shed and regrow hair within 3 months from now( which would be 6 months since i started taking propecia)

Is that itchy tingling feeling common when going through a shed? because if it's not then it's propably male pattern baldness and i need to increase my dosage. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

My doctor also says that you should be able to tell if its working after around 3 months. However most people around here says you'll need around 1 year.
Regarding the itchy, tingling feeling, I am not sure if you get that when shedding on Propecia... I get that too sometimes, but I am not sure what it means.
