28M on Rogaine Foam- other treatment prospects?

Losing hair steadily since 23, on Rogaine Foam for the last two years.

Am worried about propecia's side effects, so would ideally not try that. Should I just bite the bullet and try propecia?

Also, what are the prospects for a hair transplant for me?
