29 Years old, Asian, Dad is bald but I don't know how, Worried I may have caught it.

Hi Everyone, I'm 29 years old, Asian and my dad is bald on the top (he says he got it from years of showering in hot water, but I can't confirm this.) my mother's side isn't bald (at least her father.) I am not taking anything for my hair but I want to get some opinions if I am balding or if it is a cow lick..

I see hair whorls/cow licks all the time among Japanese men, even teenagers, not sure if it's an early sign of male pattern baldness or not, but if your dad is bald then you should definitely keep an eye on it, as rahulsingh said, go see a hair loss specialist, preferably a hair transplant surgeon and not a GP or dermatologist.

So from the pictures I have posted, Am I losing hair? I really can't tell. I mean I can see a lot of my scalp and people tell me there's nothing to worry about but I do feel worried.

Looks like a cowclick to me honestly (I had the same thing seeing my cowclick for the first time i was going crazy over it but looking at older pics i saw the same spot looking bald/thinner so I concluded its most likely a cowlcick) however i'm not 100% sure myself and i will check it soon with my derm. either way if u feel worried first of all dont get stressed out as that's not gonna help whatsoever and get it checked to know for sure
