Comming up to 3 months on propecia. It seems as if my right breast has swollen a bit.The left seems normal but the right feels as if it has more tissue and has a different shape when you look closely. This is obviously quite disconcerting.Im just wondering has any1 else experienced something similllar which subsided?,Perhaps it is due to the pedulum like state of your hormones when you start propecia?,will it return to normal?

it returns to normal when you quit using propecia, calm down. By the way, my left breast was bigger than normal , when i quit using propecia it came back to normal .

Don't quit propecia , whenever you want to get rid of side effects you can do it easyly. So go on using it :)

If you suspect Gynecomastia please go to the Dr. It can take a while for it to develop but once you get a lump it's almost impossible to get rid of it without surgery.
Try reducing your finasteride dose down to .5mg for a couple weeks and see if it goes away.

You know, my finasteride is due to arrive next week and all this talk is beginning to spook me. :( I know Gyno is supposed to occur in 3% or less of patients but it seems like every other post on here is talking about it.

I am experiencing some breast enlargement after 2 months and some on finasteride. Has anyone experienced this kind of enlargement early in treatment and have it subside later? I guess, is this normally a temporary thing while your hormone levels adjust or is it permanent while on finasteride?

Oh, I'm fully aware of that... and there's also the paranoia factor where people say finasteride made them grow an 11th finger, made Bush win the election, etc... lol

Just seems like a lot of attention being paid to this particular issue. You had problems with gyno, as well, didn't you?

It's just the current paranoid trend topic. "Soup of the day." It changes about every 2 or 3 months.

It's just a shame that people with true success stories don't post at least as often as those having troubles. I mean, I would like to hope that for every 3 people posting here with side effects there's another 50-60 out in the "Real World" (tm) that are doing good, etc...

Yes, I would like to know this too. Over the last few days my breasts have been swollen. 3 months of finasteride as well.

Those weren't quite the responses I was looking for...

so once again...

Does anyone know if someone develops small yet unusual chest fat that it will always/almost always/usually/sometimes/hardly/never turn into gyno if the cause is not removed?

Gunner, please dont hijack threads. If you had a question just PM the guy.

Getting back on topic - Blade - I have to say that I don't really know the answer to your question. What I would say is it could go away or it could progress. It depends. I dont think there is a rule though, or a general concensus. I do know that in general propecia side effects decrease with time. My estrogen related side effects did not go away until I stopped the medication though.

you are playing with hormones, a dangerous game. Finasteride basically transforms you into a woman.

If you are ok with gender reassignment in exchange for a head full of hair then go ahead :)
