I get it prescribed by my doctor.
No side effects so far
I only apply 2ml once a week
Libido is slightly lower lately but not brain fog, depression or gyno like I had with Finasteride and topical Finasteride. I had horrible sides with both.
Hair shedding in the shower: 1-3 hairs.

How do you make your topical?

Really?
The bald-spot completely covered
Yes, from 40 hairs a day in the shower to none

I meant, with the different lighting it ain't easy to tell.

That's great! Did you get your topical duta compounded by a pharmacy or did you make it yourself with crushed pills?

What carrier are you using?

It's quite a complex formula from a Pharmacy

It's the same phone with flash in the same room

Where's the pharmacy/who's the prescribing derm?

Topical duta appears as an interesting alternative. It's been discussed whether it's effective or not, but given these results it's hard to argue.

Also, what dosage had you tried on topical finasteride to get sides?

Thanks

With oral finasteride I tried 3 different times.

The first time it was after a few months if I remember correctly. I developed Gyno on one side and was extremely tired all the time. I stopped and recovered within 3 months or less. Gyno had to be removed with surgery

The second time I took it I got immediate and unbearable prostate pain after 2 days. I stopped immediately. The pain lasted about 4 months. I had no capability of having an erection and almost lost my girlfriend. It eventually got better.

The third time I tried it was topically and I was fine for a few weeks and then got very bad brain fog, I could not concentrate at all and was extremely dizzy at all times.

I also developed low T after years of usage. It wen't down from 900 ng/ml total test to 450 ng/ml in just 3 years. Not normal. There are several studies that show continuous use of oral anti androgens reduces testosterone in time despite it raising free test initially as less converts into DHT.

With topical dutasteride I have no brain fog, no fatigue and I have morning wood. My libido might be slightly lower but my test is also very low and I am older so it is to be expect.

I am starting TRT today. See what happens

Ouf. Your body’s super sensitive towards finasteride. Today is the 18th day on finasteride for me, still nothing to report. Also weird how topical duta gave you no sides, contrary to finasteride which is less potent.

Your T was low. This should have slowed down your hair loss considerably.

Anyways, keep us updated and good luck.

I am sorry, I think I missed something: are you a PFS sufferer? Otherwise, why do you want to implement TRT?

Did you get your homones checked while on fina/after fina/after duta?

That's good news you don't get sides with topical duta!

Also weird how topical duta gave you no sides, contrary to finasteride which is less potent.

Actually, it's been discussed in another thread. Topical dutasteride could be a more viable option than topical finasteride. It seems the drug is not particularly going systemic (because of the 500 daltons rule). For products that need to get to the lower layers of skin, molecular weight should be below 500 Daltons (which is the case for finasteride but not dutasteride).

Hence my question about the carrier. If it's a liposomal solution, I could very well see this working. Also, do you dermaroll?

Where's the pharmacy/who's the prescribing derm?

bump

Last but not least, there was an interesting study published in a "not well renowned" journal. I will re-attach it. They used micro-needling to force the penetration in duta in the skin. Serum DHT seemed to remain stable.

It's Liposomal
Starting TRT cause Test is below 450 ng and having a hard time losing fat, no matter the caloric deficit I am in
I want to have hair but I also want a good body and feel good.
Just did my first 30mg injection. No hair loss yet. Lol.
