44 years old, with wife and kids.
Nice job.
Since beginning of this year, fast receiding hairline.
On big 3 since 2010.
This post is just to confirm that, no matter at what age, this sudden change of identity can really drive you crazy.
At least, that is what's happening to me.
My last hope is going to be hairmax...
Cheers

Have you tried gym maxxing? Got any pics to compare?
Here we go with two pics: the first one taken 3 months ago, the second one two days ago.
The last one is in direct sunlight.

Wtf dude. Ur freaking out about that hair at 44? Ur hair is thick as hell and where is this "receeding" u speak of? You took pics in two different lighting conditions obviously it's gonna look different.

I need to get off this damn site.

I've started treatment long ago and I managed to keep the situation under control (until now...)
Besides, I've a small head, relative big nose and ears so, shaving is really not an option for me.
That is the reason I'm freaking out
By the way, I really did not mean to be provocative by any means.
Thanks

Isn't it normal for your hair to thin out a bit as you age and for it not to be considered male pattern baldness? Maybe I am wrong. Looks like that is what is going on with your hair though. Definitely don't need to shave lol.

Take finasteride....probs would work well for you as you have very minimal hair loss at 44. Definitely don't need to shave lol.

Debatable. Some doctors and people might agree that as you get older hair can thin out, but Im pretty sure some people like elvis or others have almost zero loss into 50+ years old so I dont know if that is really true.
Hair loss as you get older isnt normal its just no one knows enough to say what causes it or if its worth risking finasteride because no one knows if it would work for that or not.
I think all hair loss is male pattern baldness its just a question of can you or should you consider treating it that early on? Your hair isnt to magically regrow or reverse unless you do something. Its going to get worse most likely
I agree with treating it if it bothers you and your losing hair regardless of age.

Yeah but do ar inhibitors work for that kind of loss? Are those hairs thinning out as a result of DHT? I know there are a few exceptions but it is extremely rare for people 50+ to still have the thickness they had when they were young I would say less than 5% of people). I know it does happen though. It is just a slap to the face when I see these 70+ year old dudes with way thicker hair than me at 23.

Hair looks good for 44 although we can't see the full extent of your hairline with that long style

If you've been on finasteride 7 years and things are starting to go south, the next logical step is dutasteride

I was about to yell at people saying hair loss is hair loss and if its disfiguring at 22 (I agree, it is), you don't suddenly embrace it just because you are 40.

But damn your hair does look pretty great. If you can maintain I don't see the issue.
