Normal guy spots some thinning/recession thinks:

"Ahh sh*t looks like I've started losing hair, that sucks.
Oh well I'm not the only one, if it gets any worse I'm just gonna have to buzz it."

gourmetstylewellness.com guy spots some thinning/recession thinks:

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE GOD WHHHYYYYY, WWWWHHHHYYYYYY!!!!!
headbutts mirror and collapses sobbing on the floor for 4 hrs.

I never knew a man who didn't think it wasn't a big deal to go bald, especially earlier in life. You'd have to be almost superhumanly secure with yourself to just shrug off losing a big part of your hair. And unless that guy is somehow immune to ridicule or rejection, then he absolutely must notice a difference in the way he is treated.

Funny how the majority do, nobody likes losing hair but most guys manage to survive somehow.
100's of millions of bald guys in the world right now. How many are on these forums? How many are on finasteride? How many wearing wigs and getting hair transplant's?

For most the difference is minimal.

Actually, when I first discovered I was balding, I pretty much did shrug it off. It was not until after I got constantly rejected and found myself unable to get ugly obese women anymore, that I began to panic.

You're one to talk though, S.A.F. You've gotten a hair transplant, have been here for 6 years, and have over 8000 posts here. Sounds like you just wanted to talk down to others to make yourself look cool and superior to us "losers". Quite pathetic.

I'm trying to help you 'losers' out.
Although sometimes I wonder why I bother maybe I should just let you all wallow in your misery, it seems that most of you must enjoy being depressed since you clearly dont want to do anything about it.

And as I keep pointing out even with my hair transplant's my hair is probably worse than 90% of the posters on here.

You guys are a disgrace to bald men everywhere and its you guys who are actually promoting the bald loser stereotype.

Yeah right, because name calling like a child is "trying to help". You're trying so hard to project yourself as "above" us it's not even funny. :jackit:

way to exagerate things.

the headbut thing didn't happen and i also cried only for a brief few minutes.
as for the mild recession, what i got was an imediate agressive thinning to a Norwood 3 pattern, i took the brush and hair was comming out non stop from the frontal third.

also i had just taken shower after a sweaty wanking session but afterwards i thought: ''i might as well go jerk off again because im as good as done.'' my whole world shattered before my eyes.

and i don't give a slight f*** what im promoting, all i care is my feelings towards baldness.

100% agree with s.a.f I really wish I had the balls to just move on.

I have to try harder or I will end up chemically castrated.

This is what it's all about really. I certainly don't vent like this in real life. For all anyone knows I don't give my baldness a second thought. I rarely talk about it and when I do I joke about it, I am able to laugh at myself. I probably seem pretty secure. But who knows, maybe everyone has super intuition and they can see right through the charade. Either way, it feels better to talk openly about it with other hair loss guys who actually care. People IRL don't seem to care to talk about hairloss, they prefer to either joke, ridicule or ignore it.

How could someone possibly "move on" from going bald? IT'S ENTIRELY RELEVENT! People care about their looks, period. People with hair care about their hair. People care about their skin. People care about their teeth. People care about who they are. So how should a bald guy go on completely oblivious to who he is? I mean, i can't imagine I will ever forget I am bald or not identify with baldness.

So thats it then, as soon as m.p.b kicks in your life is over?

In which case whats the point in you being on here?

There are people out there who become paralized and still manage to lead fullfilling and happy lives.
Its your choice to either find some acceptance or live in misery.

As I continously point out MOST guys do the former.

Yeah because pointing out the fact that m.p.b is a common occurance amongst men and you can still live a normal life is'nt helpful at all, whilst screaming life is over, every woman will look at you in disgust ect is'nt at all an overreaction is it?

Your life as far as other people are concerned is more over than you might think. Women tend to view bald men as "past their prime" or more "settled", i.e. old. Old i typically associated with the end of life. So absolutely it's fair to say that life *feels* like it's ending. It adds up!

Now maybe it's not chronologically true, maybe you're not going to die for another 50 years, but you'll notice that other people are looking at you and shaving a good decade, maybe more off of your life expectancy by your apperance alone. You'll have to speak up and tell them you are still young and have plenty to give but time and time again they'll tell your your hairline says otherwise.

wouldn't worry much about it. do you honestly believe society views bald men the way they do just because of some few guys like me on a hair loss forum. they don't even know about our existance. and i doubt anyone walks around revealing his true feelings about balding to people.

SAF's point is that if every balding guy takes the form of the majority of sentiment in this forum then yes, they probably will attribute it to balding men.

according to saf the average balding man doesn't have much in common with gourmetstylewellness.com members, yet society still sees bald men the way they do regardless.
