Hi Fellas,

I'm new here and new on my journey. Before reading your stories I always thought loosing your hair is Mother Nature you either live with it or do transplant!! But now after ready your stories there seems to be other ways like medication which are all new to me!!

But before I get to narrowing down and starting a regimen I want to first find out WHY I'm loosing my hair and where I get it from!!!

A quick family history:

My dad is 52 he's got all his hair just receding from the front NW2/3
(I would be happy if i turn out to be like my dad!!)

His dad I think went bald in 40s.
His brother all in 40's 50's 60's with hair nowhere near bald.

My mom's hair is not great she is 46 and you can see 1 part at front showing scalp. Still is fine and nothing out of ordinary i guess. It's just she doesn't have ALOT of hair and It's straight.

Her dad had thick, curly hair. He passed away at 63 with all of his hair. One of her brothers exactly the same thick curly hair 40 with full of hair. Her younger brother not curly hair and went bald early 20's.

I'm 28 ( in few months) and started receding from 24/25. Now I see more scalp than ever due to shreding and thining.
I have to say I've always been a high strees individual and alot more so for past 3 years. It's about a month now everytime i wash my hair i would atleast see 20/30 strings between my fingers. And more If I wash my hair only 2/3 times a week. So because of It i'm having to wash my hair everyday day.
2 weeks ago I stood next to a white desk, shok my hair by passig my hand throught it fast an near 50/60 strings fell on the desk in one sitting.

Where do you guys think I get It from, looking at my family's hair story?!
&
What and how is the best way to start a regiment?

Thank you very much for reading.

Personally I think you get it from both. Your dad has recession, even if he is in his fifties. But the fact that your mom is getting it, she might have
two dominant DHT sensitive hair genes.

More than likely, you will surpass your father. Unfortunately you will probably lose your hair faster, based on your mom's genetic profile.

You are probably right, the only other thing is that my hair growth is still the same as i wa 18. Does that mean anything? I'm very hairy and have rapid growth all over my head.
