Added Dutas Twice Weekly, Noticing Further Loss Now

Hey, so long story short been on finasteride and minoxidil over 10 years. Noticed I was unable to style my hair like I could just a few years back, so, decided to add Dutas .5mg twice a week to see if I could halt the loss and if very lucky get a bit of regrowth.
Two months or so in and I can see thinning around the hairline now. I've never noticed thinning as such before, it's always been a slow process, but now I can see it.
Do you think the addition of Dutas could be the cause or maybe I am just shedding from Dutas? I've never noticed a shed before from finasteride or minoxidil.
Any advice on this? I can give more details if you want but that's pretty much all there is to it.

Two things here, 1mg of Dutasteride a week is only going to slightly lower your DHT more than your current Finasteride regimen. So if Finasteride is starting to fail you then expect the same with your Dutasteride dose. Two, the slight change in DHT could have caused a telogen effluvium which will cycle hairs out faster and can thin out weak areas rather quickly. With that said, Dutasteride is a dose dependent drug and if you want the effective 90% DHT reduction then you'll need to take it daily which is a 3.5mg weekly dose. Also bear in mind that Dutasteride is a much more potent 5ar inhibitor and taking Finasteride with it will have no added benefits.

So you think I should perhaps switch to Dutas .5mg completely and drop Finas? Can I just do that or do I need to taper from one to the other?
