Aggressive Hair Loss/receding At 24?

I am 24, my hair line was kind of in a v about 7 years ago but now it is pronounced. Specifically on the left side. I am very healthy, eat right, all of that and my father has a full head of hair at 60. Here are three photos I have taken. I have no hair loss in the back but my hairline is receding. Is this an aggressively deep v for someone my age? Any chances it stops here? Also have attached a photo from over a year ago showing my left side. My right side seems to have receded and thinned much more prominently. I have always styled my hair and pushed it back on that side with product. Could that be a reason?

Bro, the fact your Dad has a full head really means nothing in so much as that you could possibly inherit his hair genes, or you may very likely will not. I work with my brother and father in law, and my father in law is 67 with a NW0 hairline, thick density, grows like crazy and has hardly greyed. His son is 42 and a Norwood 5. It's a cruel f*****g fate, this hair game! As far as diagnosing your loss, it does seem like you may be a candidate for recession only, without any crown loss. That is not the worst, by a longshot. You can get transplant or go for the mature hairline look without it being weird.

I think I may hit the transplant in a year or two. Working the massage, peppermint oil game as we speak now. It's not too bad as my hair when dry covers it pretty nicely. Appreciate the insight and the upbeat attitude, my dude.

How is the hairloss from your mothers side?

None, other than one of my cousins going bald at like 40. My hairline is receded but has always been lighter in that area, and hasnt moved much in the past three years if at all.

Keep running the massage and peppermint oil game and you'll be bald in no time boyo. Your hairline is thinning dude, get on meds or be prepared to shave your head.

You think? It still feels very thick on top. Haven't lost any hair up there?

Yes. You're losing hair. You're in a great spot right now to just pop a pill a day and not even have to worry about it. Wait too long then you're fucked.

Its wet in those pictures, but I can see the thinning on the temples. I have done some derma roller work too and it seems to be working as far as I can tell. You think that meds are a better route, if so, what do you recommend?

I would try finasteride. If you get side effects just discontinue. Do your homework on it. I'd continue to dermaroll too.

IFinasteride may strengthened thinned hairs, but it doesn't regrow lost hair. There's a stat where I believe it says like 90% of people maintain their hair, and like 40% experience regrowth (thickening p) of hair. Odds are highly in your favor as your hairloss isn't bad.

For the loss I have, do you suggest min as well?

I would hold off, wait until about a year. Reason being is you want to see what works and what doesn't and by starting two meds at once it'd be difficult to gauge that. Also for simplicity's sake, if finasteride works great for you then there's no need to add min.
