Just got back from my doctor a few weeks ago and told me I had male pattern baldness. I am 27 and live on a good diet. the hair is not bad but its starting to show signs such as the temples and thinning on the crown. its generally thinning at the top of my head.
the Doctor really didnt give me any comfort to what I can do to reduce thinning hair. How do I get referred to a dermatologist just to be on the safe side?

I am planning on buying Alpecin double effect shampoo which will help with my dandruff and the after liquid stuff Alpecin Liquid. I have been reading mix reviews if Alpecin does anything. but the ingredients sound safe.
but I am a bit worried about these product. is there a chance that these products could make my hair worse?

Thanks in advance =)

Alpecin Double Effect will thicken up your hair shafts nicely as it contains Piroctone Olamine. Personally I haven't seen much evidence that it is good for male pattern baldness so I dont think your hair count will be affected one way or another.

I think you have to get a referral from your GP to see a dermatologist.

thanks dude for the reply and for the info :)
I will try to get a referral from the Doctor the next visit. If all fails, I might
buy Alpecin for 3 months on the basis theres very little side effects compared to others on the market.
