Hi, like many, I suffer from this condition and am going through the ranks, so to speak, of medications, shampoos of increasing strength etc. Does anyone know of any natural solutions to this problem? Tea Tree oil, apple cider vinager etc? I think these harsh chemicals put us in an catch-22 with regards to our hair loss. As in, the SD makes it worse, but the chemicals have got to be bad for our hair as a whole. Has anyone tried any alternative therapies? I am especially interested in topical cleansing products, and rinses, but do not trust most of the products you see advertised on the web. There's got to be a cheap, simple solution that can be used in place of/or with standard treatments...Thanks!

This is what you need to do:

1) Order some folligen products over the internet- They come in the form of a therapy spray as well as shampoo and conditioner and various creams and lotions. What these do is help repair damaged scalp and can totally ease the pain. It takes a couple of months of treatment to rid you of your burning and sore scalp but relief is immediate. It is the only thing that has helped me after one and a half years of trying.

2) Buy pure tea tree oil from a health store or chemist. Use a dropper to add the tea tree oil to a moisturising shampoo (like Dove Moisturising shampoo) Use it daily with cold to luke warm water on your scalp. You wont believe the incredible soothing effect that this will have on your scalp. It may not be instant but keep using it for 3 weeks and see how it feels

3) I am not sure if you are using Nizoral or not. I found that 2% was harsh on my scalp, so I switched to 1% (Blue bottle) and it really made a difference.

4) I have read that many women have had success using Coenzyme Q10 which is an anti oxidant found in any health food store. It increases blood flow to the scalp. Biotin will help as well. Look here:
