Is it possible for a hair transplant surgeon to be able to fill in a thinning area of hair loss like this? I have areas in my crown and right vertex that have hair but are lacking density and fullness, leaving linear gaps where I see my scalp. I think this is likely due to undiagnosed pseudopelade of brocq, which the disease died out. There are tiny areas where my scalp has empty follicles but other tiny spots where I don't see follicles at all and just white skin. There are some hairs which are really thin where I doubt they can be regenerated. The thing is the hair loss is widely dispersed, where there is varying density and space between follicles. How would the surgeon know where to transplant given the diffuseness of my hair loss? Might I have to shave so the problem spots can be seen more easily in order to transplant?
