I just started rogaine not long ago so I've been looking at my hair/scalp alot and I've got a question...do you see any new hair growing between your already long hair? (This is a general question, not for minoxidil users)

All I see is my hair that is like 2" long but I don't see anything growing in between...I mean, hair doesn't go from 0 to 2" overnight?? So does that mean I'm not getting any new hair?

I guess that's bad news for me.:(

I've been on the big 3 for a month now(on propecia for 5-6 years)...hope to see new hair soon.

So you have only just started using minoxidil? It can take anywhere from 3 months to 18 months to see noticeable results... Just hang in there. Not many people can say they've gotten results after a month of minoxidil.

Did you find Propecia did anything? 5-6 years is a fair while... how come you weren't using minoxidil as well?

Propecia did a good job at maintaining the hair I had for many years but last may I started shedding at a faster rate so I decided it was time upgrade my regimen.

My question is not minoxidil related...I just want to know if it's normal that I don't see any new hair on my head?

I would really like more input on this, I see NO new hair growing between what I already have.

Hang in there it takes some time. I have been on minoxidil for 6 months and some of the new hairs are finally catching up to my exisiting hair.

I understand your question. On a healthy head of hair with a 2 inch haircut, one would expect about 5 percent of the hairs to be visibly shorter cause they just started growing, lets say one to 3 months ago.

I can't help you with the answer though. I have a buzzcut at about 1/10 of an inch.
