Avodart Script - Switching from Local Pharmacy to Canadian ?

A couple months ago I started taking Avodart (brand name from GlaxoSmithKlein). Got a script via Medical Wellness Center and filled it out a local pharmacy. So far so good, but the price per month to fill it is $120. I told my doctor I've been taking it and he said he'd write me a script that I can fill via a Canadian Pharmacy to at least half my cost if not drop it by 70%, which sounded great. However, upon inspection the Pharmacy Checker approved Canadian pharmacies that carry brand name GlaxoSmithKlein Avodart for a fraction of the cost seem to all get their supply from a GSK plant in Turkey, which sounds strange considering I called a local Canadian brick and mortar pharmacy in BC and they said their Avodart is manufactured in Canada.

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts with this? What would you do if you were me? I'd rather pay $40 a month for my Avodart than $120, but not if I can't be sure if it's legit. My doctor said "it's all made in the same place and as long as it isn't counterfit, which is unlikely with a drug like Avodart, it should be okay".
