avodart the worst drug on the market

avodart is the worst drug on the market ,gives you expectations but is sh*t.
all it does is ruin the hairline before i started takking the drug my hairline was perfect now i have started receding and thinning at the front also.

Horrible post. Stop bashing dutasteride and making it sound like it doesnt work at all. It 'may' not have worked for you, but to say that it is worthless is just plain ridiculous.

What do you think would happen to your hair without it??

Here' s a solution: If dutasteride is making your hair worse (after giving it a good year) STOP TAKING IT. Problem solved.

And to counter your notion, I've successfully used Avodart in the past, for MORE THAN 8 months, and I had incredible success with it. At the moment, I am taking Avodart, and I couldn't be happier with it.

I am at month ten and I am experiencing the same thing, I haven't even returned to baseline yet. I think that it is still too early to make the assumption that dutasteride is evil especially when you are only on yourself.

This is a strong drug and I believe that we need to give it more time than other treatments before we make a final decision.

I feel your pain though.

Stop taking Duta and your hair turned normal....
Then use only finasteride. Some people are allergic to Duta but the drug works very well...
Antonio the temples and the frontal area are the first parts on the scalp wich have shedding and the last part which shows some improovment...
A guy in my site have some regrowth in the frontal after 2 year of Avodart...

I started a .5mg/day dose in August '04. At eight months in my hairline had also been heavily thinned by the dutasteride., what with two months of shedding only just finished. After this it took a long time before I saw anything positive, a good half year at least, but from that point the front slowly recovered what was lost during the shed until, after almost two years on the drug, I was back to baseline. Which is where it has stayed to this day.

Rest of my hair suffered less from shedding, recovered more quickly (though still during the second year of usage), and has ended up thicker than it started.

Hello i'm french and i've taken Avodart since June 2006 (about 15 months).I've got very positive results far better than with propecia.I've had good regrowth till month 3 especialy at the temples (amazing regrowth) and then on the crown and the hairline.
I'd like to thanks Jayman and Aplunk because when i read there posts in this forum it has helped me to make up my mind.At the begining i tought that duta's users were crazy but i've placed my bet and i won.I was norwood 2 and i 'm now 1.5. unk:
