So 6/7 months on finasteride and I was still losing hair and I had increased libido and very tired so after 3 months cut down to 0.5mg then 0.25mg in the end as tiredness was too much.

Then I moved to dutasteride..Full dose 0.5Mg for 3 months no sides but hair was like straw and very dry scalp so reduced to 2-3 per week for further 4-5 months. Lost hair like crazy and libido extremly high so as i've seen no posititve....Pillow has at least 10-20 hairs on it every morning and goodness knows how much lost in shower every day.

So I stopped dutasteride 2 weeks ago and started finasteride again at 1mg most days, sometimes 0.5mg. Getting to bed earlier to overcome tiredness but seems to be less of a problem this time.

Hair is really bad. Hairline is gone back about an inch and maybe 2 inches for the temples but its thin diffuse back to within a couple of inches in front of the crown.

The crown is still there but according to my partner is thinner so could be just a matter of time before crown gets hit...guess i've been lucky to keep crown considering how much i've lost at the front.

So this is it. I'm going to really stick to full finasteride dose for 6months + this time.

Well over a year now and still not in a position to consider hair transplant to fix things as loss is not stable, bugger.

dutasteride I think made things worse for me than finasteride did....if figures were right in another mail I saw then it is all down to Testosterone 4 time s % increase as much for dutasteride than finasteride...Despite Duts more powerful DHt reduction the Testo increase maybe is worse for some than others which why one is better than the other for different people.

I think maybe neither really is good for me unless I could get more girlfriends or become a p**rn star as libido is so sky high. I would have to be a Bald p**rn star tho

sh*t hair does not get in the way of personality and confidence but it is hard to keep these high when feeling down about image..I cannot look in the mirror any more.

I'd be very curious to see before and current pics if you were willing to share - I'm going through some bad sheds myself right now.

its rocketing off my head still...Jesus why doesn't something stop it. Maybe it would have been better to stop all treatments
