A few days ago I saw this 60 year old on the subway sitting next to me. Behind him was a couple laughing really hard, so that people were already noticing. I realized that the 60 year old was wearing a really bad toupee you could tell from a mile. They were very obviously laughing about him. Although a bad hairpiece really looks quite ridiculous and is definitely worse than embracing the baldness I felt really sorry for this guy.
The guy laughing was probably not much younger but like a perfect NW1. He didn't even realize what he was doing. So the guy eventually noticed and left the subway. Must have been devastating. He surely didn't have any treatments available at the time when he was balding so he decided to go for a cheap wig.
Anyways I thought I'd write about it here, baldness sucks.
