Hey!
I haven't been on these forums for a long time but used to cruise these a lot some time years ago. I first noticed my hairline receding and thinning in front when I was 24. I'm 33 now. So around 9 years ago. I freaked out because I had such a hair fetish at the time and loved my hair. I got on 1mb Propecia a day around in 2007 I think and been taking it ever since, so around 8 years straight. There has been some breaks here and there. Some times even a month or more off. Just because I was away somewhere and was not able to get the drug. But most of the time I’ve been taking it consistently.
My concern is my libido and sex drive. It’s been ok. Or so I've thought. But I’ve started to think that maybe it should and could be a lot better?
Like I hardly ever can get hard again after having ejaculated already. So very rarely can I do a second round straight after. Have to wait for 30 or 40 minutes or so… That has always been the case.
It hasn't affected to get erection on the first place though. Also I have the urge to masturbate pretty regularly.
I broke up with my girlfriend not so long ago. There were many reasons. But starting to think that my sex drive could have been one of the route causes? I think it was and is decent though. Maybe I just got a bit bored as we hit the mark of the end of the "honeymood period". But then again, I don’t have much comparison. I used to have weird state of mind, so even though I had fooled around countless times before with chicks, then I started to have real intercourse sex not long before I started taking Propecia.
Here are my hair how they are now – https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64224/2015.jpg
And here in early 2009, so around 7 years ago – https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64224/2008.jpg
I think most of it has stayed the same, maybe lost a little.
If i don’t cut my hair super short and wear my current haircut the hairloss is not really visibile.
Although when you pull the hair back and look close in the front, then thinning is visible for sure.
The thing is, I’ve started to wonder. Did I even need the drug?
Maybe this was my natural maturing hairline?
My father has full head of hair. So does my uncle.
My fathers side grandfather had full head of hair as well.
My mothers side father went bald when he was older.
My brother who is 2 years older than me has similar hairline than me. Or rather a bit better. His hair structure is a bit different, more curly and rough.
He is not taking any drug or done any treatments.
Could it be that I got the balding gene and he didn’t?
I have still very full head of hair in the top crown and generally they’re looking thick.
I definitely don’t want to go bald in one year though
So, my concerning is, that maybe I should start to come off or take less of the drug? or stay on...
Like taking 1,25mg every 3 days (read somewhere such a formula)?
Or taking 0,5mb every day or every other day?
I'm in my 30s and single and generally good looking.
I don't want to go bald and want to stay attractive for girls.
But then again, if I could better my libido, then that would also help with the girls.
Should I first try out some better diet and more exercise?
And just taking a bit less of the dose of the drug?
Maybe do a blood test?
A real catch-22
