Hey,

Just came on this site recently and seems like a lot of great info. Well my situation being I've been on propecia for 5years+ and has in general kept my hairline for the most part. Recently though the light spot at the crown of my head has been getting lighter and i've had tingling itchiness back there especially and flakes as well as all over my head. My hair feels and looks like straw. It's definetly gotten to the point i"m concerned. I'm 24 and dont need to look like monty burns. Anyway I've been looking into topical stuff - never used the rogaine but i think i will - just hope i dont shed to much  i dont know which shampoo conditioner to use? Heard nizoral is good but also interseted in Folligen shampoo/ conditioner. Doees the folligen s/c work like the spray and/or cream? Basically what products along with the propecia should i use?

Thanks for whatever help u guys can offer

GO the big 3 route....Propecia, Rogaine 5%, Nizoral. You only need to use the Nizorla 3 or 4 times a week. Use your regualr shampoo and conditioner on the other days.....But if your looking for favorite shampoos and conditioner mine are

Shampoo: Diametress by Nexus
Conditoner : Dumb Blond by TIGI and Nioxin Scalp Therapy.

i agree go with the big 3... u will get a shed from rogaine but that last 3-4 weeks after that it's usually uphill by month 4 u will get very good results with rogaine and nizoral helps wonders, also use progaine conditioner.. i stopped it for a MONTH and i got flaking itching redness.. as soon as i went back on it.. everything is fine!

Take care
Good luck

If I may add something....Your Subject line is quite misleading. You said yourself that it's held your hairline for the most part. If your just starting to thin now on the crown, chances are it held all those hairs over the last 5 years. A subject line like that can scare a noob outta here fast.

Thanks guys,,

Well I'm taking the "big 3: like has been posted - basically nizoral every third day with nioxin scalp therapy conditioner for moisturing scalp to control itchiness interchanging with kendra hair thickening conditioner. The itching has really subsided since starting nizoral and i apply rogaine at night before bed. i already posted a sepearate post concerning my question if it is needed to shampoo out rogaine from scalp every morning. I have really short hair so i just shower in the morning to get rid of any flakes i have from rogaine.
