Better blood circulation in scalp reduces hair loss?

Guys.
A lot of websites/comments in posts that i read say that massaging the scalp etc will help increase blood flow in the scalp and slow down hair loss.
I've been looking for some scientific studies which prove this but i can't find anything anywhere! Is this true about circulation or rubbish? Please be kind enough to point me to the post if this has already been discussed, as I can't find it using the search facility here.

The old blood supply theory is an old wives tale.

I think blood flow is the thing behind scalp exercises. If it worked I'm sure there would be more studies and info about it. The best way to improve bloodflow in the scalp is to hang upside down!

Scalp exercises could also make the muscles in the scalp bigger which would make the thickness of the skin across the scalp thicker. I don't know if the thinness of the skin across the scalp has anything to do with baldness? It's strange that we only go bald on the top of the head where the skin is taught over the scalp and not on the sides and back which are a bit more fleshy.

The blood supply theory is false. The skull is the most densely vascular area of the human body.

This is why when you get a shaving knick, it bleeds forever.

Thats what i say...but some people on here insist that massaging their head helps...and that there is NO PROOF that it doesn't..

There was a long thread about me arguing this with a few other guys.

why do you insist on being so stupidly stubborn about this? i stated plainly and simply many times that there is neither proof for or against massage helping baldness. very different to what you insinuate above. go back and check the thread if you like. also circulation is not the only thing that massage helps. show me a study that proves massage does not help baldness.

I didnt mention you did i?
another guy in the thread said it was helping him some how.
Explain to me how it COULD HELP BALDNESS?
should we test everything under the SUN to see if it will help so we can start eliminating some things?....it would be a long list.

anything that increases skin health and elasticity could definately help hair. massage does this.

I tried explaining that to a balding friend. He does not trust me. He thinks if he just rubs his head each day, it will prevent further loss. I try to educate so many many guys about hair loss. Only 1/3 want to talk about it, and of them, 90% think I'm misinformed like all these adkins wackos and other misinformed people running around evangelizing with good intentions.

Another friend of mine told me to drop nizoral and buy a laser comb. They don't trust me. I can't help them.
