Blood Test - Does Free Testosterone = DHT?

When having a blood test, I got a free testosterone (serum) result of 42.6 pmol/L (normal range 34.5 - 98.0).

Does free testosterone include DHT? So if I have low free testosterone I also have low DHT?

I'm no expert but I believe they are distinct. The free testosterone in your blood is circulating, bioavailable testosterone that isn't bound to any substances like SHBG. Testosterone can convert into estrogen or DHT, but I'm not clear on what the relationship is between free testosterone levels and DHT levels. My totally unscientific guess is that the higher the levels of serum testosterone, the higher the likelihood of conversion into estrogen or DHT. Keep in mind that those conversions are part of a natural process and most people don't run into any issues unless they have excessive levels of testosterone (such as steroid abusers).
