Hi all,

Just wanna share my little experience on how effective bond can be sometimes.

Last weekend I went to Sydney for a music festival. My flight was on Friday morning so I did a de/re on Thursday evening. Here are the specs/steps:

Thin skin unit + Walker Scalp Protector + Full head bond with Walkertape Ultrahold liquid adhesive - 2 layers. Wait time for bond to dry = 25-27 minutes.

On Thursday night, I took the system off, did a clean up. Then I applied Walker Scalp Protector, let it dry. Then I put on 2 layers of Walkertap Ultrahold liquid adhesive - full head, THEN I LET IT DRY WHILE I TURNED ON MY PC AND PLAYED A MATCH OF LEAGUE OF LEGENDS.

After the match was completed, it was around 25-27 minutes in. The bond was dry and when I touched it with my finger, I didn't feel any stickiness - completely no residue on my fingers when I touched it. I then sprayed a thin layer of 99% alcohol on the back of the system and started positioning and attaching it - funny enough, I was able to pull the system out and put it back on and pull it out and put it back on 3 or 4 times until I got the correct alignment - it wasn't sticky at all and there was no residue because of how dry the bond was.

The next day, I flew to Sydney, spent a whole day walking, taking train, driving around Sydney to source some party supplies. At the end of the day, my body was already sweaty, but the bond stayed secure.

Did the same thing on Saturday, then I went to the music festival and raved in the crowd of 5000-6000 people, in the heat for 10 hours continuously, and I sweated like a pig. Then I flew back to Melbourne in the morning and walked around the city to find food, etc. The bond stayed unaffected like a boss.

At the point I'm typing this, it's Thursday in Australia, it'll be a full week tonight since the last time I did a clean up. The bond broke down a little on the side and at the back, but the hairline stays unaffected. I didn't even have to do a touch up.

I'll do a de/re again tomorrow night. However, just wanna share with you how hardcore the bond can be when done right. I have a feeling the drier you let the bond be, the less tacky it feels, but the stronger it fuse into your hair system afterward.

What do you mean that the glue "will run through no matter what"? Pretty sure it is possible to sweat in a lace piece without visible glue going through the lace and being detectable. Am I wrong?
