Hello,

Has anyone on here ordered finasteride from the recommeded company on gourmetstylewellness.com? I did and realized afterword its more expensive than on 4rx adn United Pharmacies, yet still cheaper than Propecia. Money's a bit tight so I just didn't want to pont up $240 for a ProPak and thought I'd buy a 30-day supply to get me buy for now. However, in looking into all these generic sites, etc. it's got me thinking I can really save some money going the generic route.

I'm going to try the generic from Hiarlossgenerics.com that I ordered and see if it works -- there's a small little side effect of finasteride I get and I'll know within a week probably of taking this if it's the real deal or not.

Curious what your guys' opinon is? Seems like many people on here like 4rx and United Pharmacies, but I don't see much about this hairlossgenerics.com? Which, is odd since it's been a "trusted site to order from for the last 7 years." Maybe people don't use it as much because of the price ... I dunno. I just hope it works and isn't a waste of money!

I've ordered from online pharmacies in the past and had bad experiences. A lot of these online pharmacies are reputable, but the issue was the drugs were being manufactured in labs out of places like India or China. I was taking propecia for several years from my trusted pharmacy, and all was well. After going online, I thought I could save money by purchasing finasteride online at a fraction of a price. After about a year and a half of using the online finasteride I purhased from a Canadian Pharmacy, I noticed a huge acceleration in hair loss. I went online and saw similair people experiencing the same thing. I quickly went to my dermatoligist and got a prescription for finasteride which I purchased at Costco (around $12 which lasts you 4 months @ 1.25mg a day). Within 7-8 month, I grew most of my hair back and within over a year I got it all back and then some.

Moral of this story, stick with your local trusted pharmacy when purchasing prescription drugs. Anything else is a gamble, and wont give you peace of mind.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I ended up just ordering my Propecia ProPak from my pharmacy for $240 and calling it a day. It was overnighted and I already have it here. I probably won't even use the generic stuff. Just don't want to risk it. This Hairloss Generics company seems a bit shady to me anyway. It was an impulse buy because it's recommended by this Web site, but once I investigated more I realized that there is absolutely nothing about this company on-line and there is no information on the company available on the Web site -- it goes straight to the ordering page.

I figure I'll just shell out the big bucks for the guaranteed real stuff until Merk's patent runs out and then we'll all be able to get this stuff for dirt cheap in the U.S. :)

For next time, if you go to a doctor and get a prescription for generic 5mg finasteride, the cost is $9 for 30 5mg pills at Walmart and Target. Splitting them into 1.25mg quarters gives you 120 pills. 4 months of supply for $9!

Most doctors will even write you one prescription with up to 3 refills which is a about a year and 3 month's supply before you have to check in with the doctor again. For me, the peace of mind of knowing it's from an authentic source and avoiding the fake finasteride hair loss described by Rashan is worth the cost of the doctor's visit. If you happen to have health insurance that covers one annual checkup you can just roll the finasteride discussion right into it.

No problem, glad to help. And just so you know, Finasteride is the EXACT same thing as Propecia, it just comes in 5 mg instead of 1mg. I have used both ( I was on propecia for about 6 years before switching over to finasteride which I've been on for 7 years) and got the exact same results without breaking the bank.
