Took finasteride once 3 1/2 months ago for thinning at the top and corner recession. Now I've noticed a lot of thinning at the sides, the crown and to a lesser extent in the back. It's easy to pluck hair from the sides (right side is thinner than the left) and the back, which should be pretty unusual. Also noticed a lot of sudden body hair growth. Second question, is it ever possible for finasteride to cause increased body hair? I took finasteride at 17 and my testosterone increased drastically to 1100 ng/dl (above normal range at 17 or extremely above average) in a blood check in early July compared to normal levels in April (took finasteride in mid-May).

I've also read about reflex hyperandrogenicity where hair loss even accelerates after discontinuing finasteride.

Please don't just think this is nonsense because I only took a single pill. I've read enough to know that persistent side effects are technically possible from a single dose, and I've had symptoms since taking finasteride that are most easily explained by finasteride. And if you think it's ridiculous which is honestly fair, please treat my questions as if I'd taken finasteride for 2 weeks or so or just as if they were technically possible.
