Could I Dye My Vellus Hair On Temples?

Currently the vellus hairs in my temples have been getting quite long, I suppose they're not technically a vellus hair if they grow to a decent length but I have no idea what to call them aside from that. They are basically invisible in all but the most specific light and they occupy most of my receded temple. I've attached a comparison picture from about a month and a half ago showing them in different light. They are basically invisible and I can feel them and they actually occupy the hair within my hairline too. They only seem to be getting longer and longer and I was thinking I could potentially dye this hair on my hairline to give my scalp a more full appearance. I've also attached a picture from a week and a half ago with a better view of the vellus hair.

I'm also curious about this. My scalp is covered in these long but nearly invisible hairs, and I wonder if dying them would help. I've seen some threads here that suggest this works well. I'm also scared of increasing the contrast between hair and scalp, though.

Putting harsh chemicals on already delicate hairs probably isn't a good idea.
I imagine at most it'd make the vellus hairs fall out and regrow, the follicle is unlikely to be damaged so it's rather risk free. The only problem is matching the hair colour to the rest of my hair without completely dyeing it all.

Idk bro. My hairline hasn't been the same since I dyed and permed my hair.

I've heard of people using mascara on vellus hairs.

I'd try some kind of eye liner brush and add some dye. I suppose that area is harder to use concealer, but yea there is definitely hairs. Add Rogain to them as well?

I managed to get them to this length without Rogaine so I'll try to keep doing it like that, I have been tempted since I'm almost cetain they'd turn terminal with Minoxidil added but I'd rather not have to have Min in my hair all day if I did regrow there.

Hey there, great progress so far, just wanted to add a couple of things that might be interesting for you or someone else to try:

Just for men, Control GX Grey reducing shampoo for light shades. Wet the area, put on a small amount, rinse after a minute. Product is ~$8US and the tube will last a long time (probably a year or more!) if you use it sparingly on only your vellus hairs

and a digital microscope for inspection/taking pictures of your hairline follicles or anything else. It's easy to take amazing close-up pictures, I got one like this for <$20US from EBay:
