Could It Be Hormonal Issues? Climate? How To Know? What Should I Expect?

So I've always thought I had male pattern baldness when my hairline started receding at 21. Im 23 now, however, over the last year I've noticed stuff and read things on here that make me kind of confused about my situation.

For one, I found out that my dad actually didn't start balding until he was 45 or so. He's NW4 so I was confused, but prior to that he was fine. My dads family does have some hairloss, but his 65 year old brother is NW3 or NW4, my cousins in their 20s are all NW1 or so, and my grandpa had a full head of hair before he passed. My moms family meanwhile has no hairloss whatsoever. Every single member of her family (even distantly related) is NW1 or less even in their 60s. My brother still has a childs hairline.

Additionally, two more things happened. For one, my hairloss was pretty much halted when I spent the summer back in my home country, which is far more humid than where I normally live and work (Canada). Second, the hairloss is now happening in areas it shouldn't, like the sides and back, and seems to be even throughout.

So like I am wondering. Could this be caused due to hormonal issues? I have slight gyno which might indicate that. Could it be stress? Since I work part time and am doing an extremely rigorous masters program. And could it be the climate? Could it be the lifestyle? At home I eat extremely wholesome farm raised food cooked at home, and here I eat from outside every single day.

I'm gonna go see a dermotologist, I'm just wondering what to expect.

1. Hair loss can start at any time and age. My dads 50 and has a nw1, I'm currently 18 with a nw2
2. It's not uncommon for your sides and back to start thinning. This is called retrograde alopecia.
