Im 20 years old, and I first noticed my hair falling out rapidly while sitting in class one day. Ive receded a little bit, and the front of my hair is thinner then the rest of my head. I still have a full head of hair, and I just ended my 5th month of propecia.

ok for the questions.

How do you know if your responding, and is there a way to tell if your responding really well? By my third month of propecia my crazy shed had completly stopped, and has been very slow ever since then. I see maybe 1 or 2 little hairs in the shower that show up on my hand, but they are always tiny, what does that mean?

My hair has always been long and straight, but starts curling after it gets really long. I noticed the thinning in my temples because my long thick hairs started curling alot sooner then normal, and had become alot thinner. My question for this is, If im responding well, will these hairs come back in the next cycle a couple months from now stronger and healthier?

OK for the final question. I know propecia is for stopping hair loss and helping you to keep what you have, with some people having regrowth. I also know it doesnt have alot of evidence for helping regrow the temple area from receding, but can it stop the recede and help me keep what hair I have left on my temples?

If anyone has any facts on this information , Id really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Im convinced you'll maintain and keep your current hairline. I have for over three years. Dont expect to become like some hairy bloke in your class though... never going to happen. You'll be able to expect thickening throughout the top, i'm convinced. Just always remember you're doing all you can, the fact that you only lose a few hairs now is a great sign. Stick at it and you'll probably do alright.

Have a look at the post i made called [POLL] How worried Should i be? ive put a few pics in there of my hair now on page 1, and on page 3 or so i chucked another one up of my hair 3-4 years ago... the results are entirely from Proscar (finasteride). Not amazing, but evident i think (i hope)

Good luck mate... good work for catching it early...

*coughs....that yolk thing..is not really for male pattern baldness...you can use it as a 'conditioner' and yeah....it really...really works. but dont expect it to help with male pattern baldness...btw..it stinks..do not apply it without at least a tablespoon of olive oil to get rid of the smell. the yolk really toughens up your hair though. maybe theres something like 'a stronger root will be less susceptable to dht' or something!...*shrugs
