Hi all!
I started using minoxidil in April, and at the beginning everything was fine, my hair soon started regrown and I was extremely happy (I thought it was a miracle, never seen something working like that!!) with minoxidil liquid at 4% and proscar (5mg - 1,25mg daily).
but after a month I started to feel itch on my scalp, armpits, chest, eyes etc..
When I quitted for a week / 10 days, I noticed a reduction of itch, but I'm really afraid to lose all the effect of minoxidil and finasteride,
I woke up this morning seeing a lot of dandruff (sebum?) on the pillow because I scratch myself a lot during the night, and I wash my hair everyday, using nizoral shampoo every three days.
I thought the itch was made by the propylene glycol inside the liquid minoxidil, so I ordered the rogaine minoxidil foam (I found only the 5% on the web, and it's without glycol) but I couldn't see any better results with the itch.
Someone told me is about the stress, but I'm typically a nervous person, but in this period I'm pretty calm and relaxed, so I can't justify with stress all this dandruff..
my dermatologist is sure that there is no connection between the two products and my itch.. but reading online I'm sure that one between propecia or minoxidil is responsible of my itch!
thanks in advance of any advice you can give me,
have a great week end guys!
