brings you down

not now, but back in senior year when i was diffusing a lot, people wud ask me all the time if i had cancer. at first i was able to stay strong, actually able to smile, but eventuallly i just cudnt do it and sunk into somewhat of an emotional void, below sadness.

a state of mind called "dissociation" where i separated from myself just so i wudnt consider suicide

just felt like venting, was remembering from a dream last night.

i do my best to block out the horrible utter bloody goddamn ****ing hell that senior year was, but it comes back up sometimes and makes me feel like utter ****ing ****.

well at least my hair is looking better with the propecia and rogaine, i still have to have a shaved head with my f***** *** ugly big bulbous head but at the very least i can go outside and not feel like a cancer patient, which is what im aiming for

like ive said elsewhere ive pretty much stopped caring and/or trying with girls and my main priority atm is my career, by getting hair good enough to not be noticeable i wont be so self conscious anymore and i will be able to get a job

What career are you trying to get into? Hair won't matter in getting a job ... well most careers anyway.

Once you start working you will find out the real world is different and most people don't give a **** about anyone but themselves.

You will find people are way more caught up in caring and worrying about their own lives than your life.

I think this is a good positive step.

One little note you may get the odd comment about hair loss in the work place but expect it to be tongue and cheek.

You are partially right. People don't care about anyone but themselves when it comes to giving compliments. However, they will insult and make fun of baldness in the work place.

Also, people may get the odd racist or sexual harrassing comments, but expect it to be tongue in cheek. If someone beats the crap out of you at work or steals things from you, expect it to be tongue and cheek.

Yeah, Zeros dismisses this as just good clean fun. If you see a woman who lost a breast to cancer, make fun of her. It will just be tongue and cheek.

If you don't like the comments than complain, no one is stopping you I am sure you guys over in the US have anti discrimination laws.

You can't compare racism and the like to balding.

If they don't make fun of someone for balding than they will for being short or fat or some other rubbish, good luck trying to change that. Best advice I can give than is to limit your social interaction at work and just get on with your job. Shouldn't have to worry about any comments.

no . . . . . . not reallly

im short at 5'6 but people never cud care less about it, hair loss is a whole 'nother story tho. hair loss while young is way rarer than just being short

oh and racism and baldism are the same thing, two different forms of prejudice. as someone who was pulled out of 5th grade cuz of racist bullying id take being made fun of for my race over hair loss ANY DAY

(i was going to an all black school and they thought i was chinese or mexican, was called chink, *****, go back to mexico, kicked, punched, carrots stuck in my ears, gave my bags of popcorn they spit in, laughed at, etc) even with all that tho, id STILL take that over being made fun of for hair loss. because hair loss is an ACTUAL flaw

That is down to a poor educational system.

I feel for you that would suck. I got bullied at school but not to your extent. The real word is a bit different and you will find that out once you start working.
