Hi everyone, first of all, thanks for reading.

A little background information...I am 23 years old, I am told there is not history of male pattern baldness in my Mothers side of my family (I don't know much of my family) although I never knew my Dad who apparently had a full head of hair at 35 but was adopted at birth so no information on the grandfather and so forth.

Most of my hairdressers and my mother throughout the years have always commented on how my hair is incredibly thick and always made comments about how "I would never lose my hair".

I have lived a very unhealthy lifestyle for most of my childhood, never really ate much, smoking cigarettes and cannabis from the age of 11 and never really slept all that well. At age 17-20 I went through a long period of severe mal-nutrition rarely eating until before I went to sleep and normally eating fast food such as KFC or a Kebabs/Burgers/Pizzas.

Throughout all of my this I never really took any notice of my hairline what-so-ever, never really had any noticeable acne apart from on my back, which has always been quite bad.

At 20 I started a full time job in a factory and ended up working 60 - 84 hour weeks at a time, 12 hour night shifts, averaged about 4 hours sleep a night and started eating a massive load of carbs, eating around 5 meals a day with large plates of pasta/rice with beef/chicken vegetables and some sort of cooking sauce. No fruit. Throughout all of this I also started to to strength training whilst smoking more tobacco than I did and smoking cannabis almost daily.

Since then my acne got very bad on my face, my general well being and stress levels have took a massive drop in quality and I went into only what I can describe as a minor depression. Even so, I had never noticed my hairline recede what-so-ever.
After all of this I still had not put on anyway weight so I ramped the strength training and the diet up more, eating around 4 to 4,500 kcal a day consisting of at least -

1 Kilo of Rice or Pasta,
12 Beef Meatballs,
5 Pints of Milk Mixed with 100g of raw porridge oats,
A full jar of some sort of cooking sauce.

After about 6 months of this my acne was horrific, I felt ****ing terrible and despite gaining a good few kilo's and better strength I was a mess, most importantly of all I noticed my hair had thinned out a fair bit, not just at the front but also on the top of my head.

So I dropped all of this and went back to a more average diet, since then my weight has dropped down to normal and I have gone back to my tall skinny appearance. My acne died down massively (Although not on my back where it has always been fairly crappy) and although my hair thickened up a bit again it seems to me that the front hairline has not grown back.

My hairdresser is adamant I just have a high hairline, I do have an oddly shaped head and it is very long almost with a point at the top, since the initial recession about 1 and ¾ years ago I don't seem to have have much more hair from the front (if any) but my hairline doesn't seem to be going back to what it was either. I have read here and other places that some people recede into a Norwood Class 2 and just stop there for ages which I can live with but if it's at a risk of getting worse I would like to act against it fast.

Please let me know what you think, thanks again, Joe.
