Do I need both DHT inhibitor and regrowth stimulator?

I am currently Norwood 4 and, for the first time (feels too late), looking for the way to treat my hair loss.

As far as I researched so far, it looks like that both DHT inhibitor (like propecia) and regrowth stimulator (like minoxidil) are needed for best result. But, to me, I don't think it seems to be a good idea to take pills. So, I am looking for the other DHT inhibitor. I found Revivogen which is promising on paper, but not great in actual results (It seems to be very interesting that most of the US hair loss forum shows negative comments on the effect of Revivogen. I didn't search worldwide, but a lot of users in another country are quite happy with it. I don't think race/geographical difference can be a variable for the difference of the result, though). So, I am now hesitating to use Revivogen. Then, which one would you recommend as a good DHT inhibitor.

Also, is the combination of inihibitor and growth stimulator necessary? Since I bought minoxidil (5%) and I also need to use good shampoo & conditioner (that's another reason I looked into Revivogen first), I am also thinking to use Tricomin series because they were known very good shampoo & conditioner (although, I am not sure if their tonic will be right one for me). But, their tonic is also considered as stimulator (not inhibitor).

Please advise me what would be the best initial trial for this treatment process. Thanks for your comments in advance.

Hey kthan welcome to the gourmetstylewellness.com!

I think your best option (being a Norwood 4) would include using the big three which include propecia, minoxidil and nizoral shampoo. I know you dont want to take pills, but i think it will be crucial if you want to stop things from getting worse. You could also use a topical DHT inhibitor but honestly i dont think it would work as well by itself. If after using propecia you get any sides you could just stop using it. I hope this has helped in someway. Goodluck!!!
