Do you guys ever expose your temples (NW2-NW3)???

I'm thinking about just going balls out and getting a Morrisey style hair cut that completely exposes my temples

like that (though not as.....dramatic). Maybe do a 7 or 8 guard on the sides and back and then leave it long on top.

Does anybody else with noticeable recession wear it proudly or do you guys try to cover your temples?

I do a fairly short buzz cut, around a 3 or a 4 usually. I do let it grow out a bit, but usually my temples are blindingly obvious. Once you've exposed it once, you really don't care anymore - there's no other way around it. To begin with, you think it's a big deal. Then later, if someone makes a comment - which is rare - you just say "yes, I'm balding, hence the temples DUH" Not a problem.

There aint nothin wrong with those guys' hair.

Nobody said there was.

I just asked if anybody had a haircut that exposed their temples and used that pic of Morrissey as an example.

I'm continually amazed at how many people hide their NW2 hairlines or talk about how they can't do anything with their hair anymore etc. (Not talking about you, thickandthin, just the board in general).

A bit of temple recession looks great on most guys. I comb my hair up and back way more now that I'm a solid NW2. Crown recession looks way worse in my opinon, but luckily finasteride has taken care of that for me.

I have a grade 1 buzzcut so my hairline could not be more exposed. I am a NW2.5/3. I didn't mind the advanced hair line, but what I didn't like was the obvious thinning on the temples. If I had no thinning hair I would happily have a Nicholas Cage/Jack Nicholson hairstyle.

i just wouldnt want to be past willis in die hard, id shave it if it went past nw3, the perfect amount of recession is deniro imo, perfect manly hairline, and not too far receeded, id show my temples off like that, it looks good

I think receded temples, like De Niro there, looks awesome. If my hair is longer i'll brush my hair back and display my bald temples, not even that bothered about it, but normally cover them when my hair is short as I have a pretty big forehead as it is.

Wear it proud my friend, NW2 looks much better than NW1 imo

This is a great thread. I was hiding my nw2 hairline for almost 2 years now, but recently started combing my hair back and to one side, exposing only 1 temple. Noone has said anything yet and I hooked up with a super hot chick last weekend with my hair like that. Just wish I wasn't thinning as well. Really hoping this 100mg of RU will do SOMETHING already, almost 2 months in and nothing to report.

Hell man, I looked best with the NW2 temple recession. Honestly think it looks way better than a straight hairline that everyone has as a kid, makes you look more mature. My hairline is starting to thin in the center though, which trust me doesn't look to great so I prefer not pulling my hair back now.

I know most wouldnt but I would classify anyone that does not have elvis or brad pitt Norwood 1 hair as balding. Even though someone like Conan is maybe considered Norwood 2 to me it looks like he has lost some significant hair. Almost anyone with Norwood 2 is going to lose more hair as they get older. I think Norwood 1 teenage hair looks better and is more prized/rare because aint no Norwood 1 going bald, but you know that Norwood 2 is headed down the Norwood tracks. The downside of Norwood 1 is you look really young for your age so yeah that sucks

I'm pretty masterful at disguising my receding for the last 5 years, have a forward and up hairstyle.A lot of people can't tell. But if it's someone I hang with on a normal basis, they kinda catch on.but I still have hope for recovery ,I'm getting more hairs growing from finasteride and s 5 cream.

This. NW2 area is fine, vast majority of women wont mind that kind of recession at all...

I wore a comb over my entire life even before I had a hair transplant.

16-20 wore a hat every single day. it was a style back then, and everyone in my crowd routinely wore one.

Older I got the less of an option it became and rather crutch. Not to mention most people once they get into their mid twenties don't typically wear a hat every where they go unless they are balding.

20-23 shorter hair, transitioned from skater shaggy hair to a mens short with a bit of bangs to cover bald spot. Would routinely every morning comb, and blow dry my hair in a certain style followed by a hair spray. I cut my own hair... didn't release how bad it looked. Looking back it was like a bowl cut with hair spray

23+ FREEE of this garbage.

NW1 with naturally thin front. I never had good density, even prior to my transplant.
