I've never been fat in my life and have always eaten whatever I like, whenever I like. Ever since starting finasteride I have put on a crazy amount of weight in a very short time... my dad says he doesn't like seeing me like this and he thinks the finasteride is not good for me. It's strange, my brothers tell me I'm fat but not fat lol... like I have a huge belly etc but my arms, legs and face still look skinny. I now have stretch marks on my thighs too... great

My body is not suppose to be like this... I've been trying to lose the fat and it's just not coming off. What's the issue here?

well finasteride may increase your estrogen level>more fat>more E. . a vicious cycle. Get off finasteride, if you are back to normal then you decide whether you want a full head of hair or a lean body and the latter can be controlled with diet and lifestyle changes.
having said that your condition might be totally unrelated.

I've had a reverse experience with finasteride so far (2 months into treatment) :

I've been very skinny during my whole life and my weight has remained exactly the same since I was 15, no matter how much or how little I eat.
A few days ago I weighed myself and saw I had lost a few pounds for the first time in my adult life.
I'm not sure it's because of the drug though, and I don't really mind, but I wanted to share this useless fact ^^"

Have you ever considered that you could lose weight just by eating less and stay on the finasteride? possibly exercise as well?

I am 99% sure your weight gain or loss like the guy above me is not related to the finasteride.

Are we just going to blame every single thing that happens to us on the medication?

In a couple more years CB might make this kind of choice a thing of the past. So I mean if its slow you might be able to just wait a few more years and have a safer alternative.

DHT modulate nitric oxide in your body. Depending on how your body react to lowering DHT, it's possible that it would lower your nitric oxide levels which would lead to weight gain considering that nitric oxide boosters are weight loss supplements.

Exactly! It's just so incredibly awkward, this kind of setup. "Should I wait 3-5 more years for the right stuff, or should I roll the dice and mess up with my health right now?" I mean, if it were 7-10 more years till CB, I guess I'd pull the trigger; on the other hand, I'd wait, no problem, if I knew it was coming out in 2 years max. Supposedly, the acne version of CB could represent some hope, provided that it releases earlier and could be tweaked for use with hair loss.
