Hi Dr.Proctor, i was wondering if you can use proxiphen post FUE transplant for the donor area for healing? Would this be a good thing to do? Ive read people use Minoxidil 4 days after the hair transplant for the donor area so im wondering if Proxiphen has too many ingredients in it that might not be good for the FUE donor flesh?

Please let me know. Thanks!

Stax,

I'm not Dr P, but I started using minoxidil and folligen on my recipient after 2 weeks. Proxiphen would be ideal to use post op for the tempol and copper peptides, as long as your scabs have come off I think it will help with growth, I'm 4 months and 3 weeks post op and feel the copper peptides help me get early growth and fast recovery.

Who did you use for FUE?

Thanks Petchsky.

So with FUE it usually takes 2 weeks or so for the scabs to fall off right? As for the grafts falling out ive been told around 4-6 weeks? Do you think Proxiphen liquid could be used before the grafts fall out or would i have to wait untill after they fall out?

Also, have you heard of a produst called Procyte's GraftCyte Concentrated Spray? Its supposed to be a powerfull copper peptide product to be used post hair transplant but its very expensive and i think they are the same makers of Tricomin and dont know the difference in strength between the two.

Anyways, thanks for the help!

Typically, we advise that people wait until the scabs fall off before using Proxiphen, typically a week or two. However, may persons have used it earlier without any ill-effects.

As for other products that may contain copper peptides-- I can't comment for a variety of complicated reasons. Sorry.
