Dutasteride And A Few Questions I Want To Ask

Hello guys,

I'm currently a Norwood 2 without crown thinning. Upcoming monday (next week) I will start with dutasteride (Avodart) 0.5 mg a day. My overall health is perfectly fine and I don't suffer from any diseases. I hit the gym thrice a week.

Question 1: Can I take a capsule with a full stomach or is an empty stomach a requirement? (can this reduce the effectiveness?)

Question 2: Can I put the capsules (I have 120 capsules) in a plastic pot?

Also, do you guys want me to update you regarding my hair? Use the poll please.

Good luck. I also am taking dutasteride (Avodart 0,5 a day), but i just started (tomorrow will complete my first week). Been taking finasteride for 10 months (losing ground all this time). It's a drug approved in South Korea and Japan, so I don't see why not use directly the stronger drug. If you have sides, just stop it.

1) To my knowledge food doesn't effect absorption of dutasteride, and I've never had issues taking it on an empty stomach.

2) Why would you put the capsules in a plastic pot in the first place? If you have children or have them around I'd reconsider that idea. Also if you have a significant other (I'm assuming you're a straight male) and are trying to conceive keep the meds away.

Time for an update.

Today I can't start with my regimen, because I'm waiting on my fish oil capsules (I know this won't help against hair loss, but I like to take supplements for my overall health). When I receive my fish oil capsules, I will start with my regimen and update you guys asap.

After 10 days on dutasteride, I'm feeling fine and no side effects to report.

Since dutasteride I experience ''nightmares'', but I think it's just between my ears or the fabrication of the nocebo effect.

Btw, since I used dutasteride, I don't have the ''itch'' anymore. Anyone experienced the same with dutasteride or finasteride?

I noticed that im having more vivid dreams not necessarily nightmares. Or maybe im remembering more i dont know. What i do know is that before dutasteride it was like i didnt have dreams at all.

It feels like dandruff, especially the male pattern baldness-effected areas.

I can't really describe it, but it really feels unpleasant.
