Hi,
I have been dealing with hair loss for many years.
But Yesterday after washing my hair I ended up with a massive hair knot l/ tangling l that was really hard - like a rock. It had most of my hair in it from mids to ends.i have tried for hours, but couldn't get it out at all. It was rock hard. And bear in mind that I have to deal with detangeling every time I wash my hair, but haven't seen this before.
I wash my hair once a week. I don't brush much during the week,so when I wash it around 500–600 strands come out when I gently untangle them.
In this case I couldn't .I asked a few hairdressers, but they said it's intangible, meaning that I would have to cut off most of my hair
After hours of research, found a lady who was happy to give it a go. She said it's really bad and I will have some breakage.
The next 2 hours were one of the most stressful of my life.
She had tu pull it, break it, she was extremely harsh with the brush, she was pulling it so much , that it was very painful.
After 2 hours of pain, she finally untangled it. She had 3 brushes full of my hair. There were hair everywhere - it looked like a crime scene. There also was a clump of hair knot that wasn't possible to untangle. She said it was the only way. She said that it wasn't that bad as some of hair was from not washing and getting matted in( I have curly hair didn't wash for 12 days before this appointment) but I do see some hairs falling daily.not 100 though. Maybe 20.
She said that excessive pulling and brushing has to be done to untangle, there was no other way. Is that true?
My hair feels so thin and also short! It feels like it lost half of the density. It is all broken to peaces. My scalp is on fire. I normally straighten my hair. So it easier to see what's the damage. But I can't, because I am so worried to see the damage. I have been crying and wearing a t- shirt on my head because I can't deal with it.
I was in horrible panic all day crying, as my hair is a very sensitive topic to me. I have been dealing with a lot of hair loss for last 7 years. And finally this year started slowly very slowly seeing some growth. So I have been very careful with my hair. It is curly, very damaged and weak. I don't brush it when it's wet. I untangle them very carefully with my fingers so I don't break any. Have been taking a lot of supplements , using red light therapy, massages ECT.
I don't know what to do. I can't touch it, I have had them up and wearing a hat for 2 days. I have cancelled all the social events. And don't turn of camera aty work zoom meetings.
I can't touch it or do anything.as soon as I try to do anything with it, is start panicking and end up crying
I Want my hair back. And I am so desperate. Especially that my hair doesn't grow! I have very stressful job, very low I feritin ect
I have been taking supplements and other things but nothing changes
Maybe someone is experiencing similar?
