After reading through many of the threads and constantly questioning my own progress and regimen, I was curious if anyone has found anything at all from any online reports or investigations that conclusively proves that said brand "x" of generic finasteride is fake.
I myself have been using Cipla's generic brand Fincar purchased online from United Pharmacies for approximately 22 months, in conjuction with Nizoral and a variety of topical growth stimulants/DHT inhibitors. I've maintained fairly well at the vertex, but have continued to lose ground at the temples.
I think these boards can be a lot more efficient if a group effort was directed towards testing the generic brands to determine if they contain their advertised amount of finasteride or not. I'm not looking for the ,"if you want to be sure then get the real stuff" response. I know that. I'm more interested in saving money right now by going with a, just as good (I'm hoping!), generic brand.
Anyways, that's my dream. Would sure give me some peace of mind to know that 22 months haven't been a total waste of money and hair.
Rant over.
