finasteride after dutasteride?

hey guys ive been on avodart for a month.i dont know if it works for me yet,i am just having a shed now.neways since avodart is a strong drug and iam only 24 i want to quit it.if avodart works for me after 6 months iam planning to stop using avodart and start using finasterde instead.do you guys have any idea what will happen?will it help me maintain what i regrew with dutastride?any answer will be appreciated.sorry about my english.

Complete opposite of my experience... dutasteride saved my hair. Was balding at a quick rate at the age of 25. Started taking it about 4 and a half years ago and have more hair then I did before hand.

Also had zero side effects.

Think you've had a bad experience Timi as i've seen you right this stuff many times over the last year or so. Some people have bad reactions to drugs but i'd say your case isn't that normal.

Like I say i've had excellent results.

However i'd start on finasteride 1st if I was you, I certainly wouldn't do 6 months on dutasteride and then drop down... I dont see the logic in that. You should give any treatment a minimum of a year to test it and if it works stick with it. Changing all the time will mean you'll probably just end up with loads of sheds and no regrowth.

Also alcohol and dutasteride? I'd ask a doctor if I was you. If you drink a lot your probably not very healthy and more likely to lose your hair anyway so my advice would be to drink a healthy amount and not lots all the time.

I use dutasteride everyday, minoxidil foam twice a day and Nizoral shampoo once every 2 or 3 days.

That combination seems to help me maintain no problem and I have quite aggresive hairloss.

Has the Foam been helpful in your fight? I remember for awhile you were using just Dutas (and doing great), then added Dr. Lee's minoxidil W/ Retin-A and got a small boost.

I use Avodart 1x a day since beginning of june, 2009
maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't. All I can say is that it did not stop my hair loss as I was expecting but maybe the situation could be worse without any oral medication, or with propecia... we never know right.
