Finasteride + Minoxidil For A Teenager?

Hi, Recently my nephew just turned 15 and was noticing a significant hair loose so he went to the dermathologist and say that his testosterone was a little bit high so they prescribed 5% minoxidil + 1% finasteride spray and 1/4 of a 5mg finasteride tablet daily. They told him that the dose was very small so it shouldnt have any side effect, however i was thinking that maybe is better to only use minoxidil as it is a spray. Does anyone knows anything about finasteride and minoxidil and the possible effects on growth plates?

if he wants to keep his hair with male pattern baldness he must use finasteride. the derm says he has excessive T so the effects of finasteride aren't going to stunt the maturation in his bone structure (mostly influenced by other hormones anyway), face, etc. if taken at extremely small dosages

I'm not an expert by any means but that's my opinion of course. I would ultimately consult other physicians and not random people on this forum

you're still developing till 25 and retards will recommend finasteride like it's a multivitamin on this site to 18 year olds when they're not even balding. that's just as bad as microdosing as this kid's doctor recommended, and it's such a low dose I don't think it would really skew anything. Ultimately get a professional's opinion who understands the biochemistry behind this stuff
